ALOE

Aloes are mostly African plants, in many respects resembling young agaves, although certain species have tough, woody stems. As house plants, however, Aloes do produce clusters of attractive, tubular red or yellow flowers. Potting Mixture 6.

Aloe ciliatis		Thin, white-toothed leaves about 6 inches long. Green-tipped, red flowers.
Aloe eru		Dense rosettes of leaves, spotted with bronze and green.
Aloe striata		Barred leaves and flowers of rich scarlet.
Aloe variegata		V-shaped leaves and green-striped, red flo wers.
