From the rootstock of this Japanese plant arise numerous roundish leaves on woolly white stalks. The leaves are white, yellow, and sometimes splashed with pink. Yellow flowers often appear on tall, woolly stalks.

The leopard plant is of easy culture, asking only for careful watering and little sun.

Division or cuttings easily accomplish propagation.
