CINERARIA
Senecio cruentus

Flowers Fall and winter
Potting or re-potting time Throw away after flowering
Position in garden during summer
Potting Mixture 3

Cineraria. is another popular florists' plant for house use. Great trusses of daisy-like flowers borne above the leaves are most decorative. Blue is the commonest flower color, but there are numerous horticultural varieties in cultivation in many different colors, excepting yellow. There are double flowered varieties, also.

Cinerarias make excellent houseplants providing they are kept in a cool room where the temperature does not exceed 60-65 degrees. Place just out of the sun and do not let the plant dry out, although too much water is apt to cause rust or mildew.
